Who are the volunteers?

Our Big Brothers and Big Sisters come from all walks of life. From college students to retirees, they commit to spending time with your child once a week for an entire year. When a Big wants to volunteer with our agency, they go through the following process:

• Orientation process
• Application process
• Thorough criminal background check and driving record check
• Intensive interview process with a professional case manager
• Personal and professional reference checks
• Home assessment and training

No volunteer is matched with your child without your approval.

What will my child do with a volunteer?

Our Big Brother and Sister matches do a variety of activities together. They play sports, watch movies, play games, read, cook, fish, skate, and so much more!
