Once a child’s application is processed and all interviews are completed, the child is added to our Wait List.  The number of children on our Wait List varies from week to week and month to month.  Big Brothers Big Sisters provides at least one Wait List activity per month during the school year and two to three Wait List activities per month during the Summer.  We seek to provide activities that are both fun and educational for the children. 

Civic groups, churches and businesses are invited to sponsor and participate in group activities for children on our Wait List.  Cost and number of volunteers needed are based on the nature of the activity and the number of children who participate.  The goal is to have one adult/teen volunteer for every child. 

Examples of Wait List activites include, but are certainly not limited to:

• Sporting Events
• Museum Outings
• Picnics
• Bowling
• Arts & Crafts
